The bus service from Leh to Delhi is run by HRTC from July to September. It begins on June 15 after the Manali Leh Highway reopened during the year; and declared safe for a bus to pass through the authorities. This bus service remains operational until September 15, after which it is suspended until next year.

The total duration of the trip is approximately 52 hours; whose travel time is close to 35 hours (excluding the night in Keylong). This bus covers a total of more than 1100 kilometers through some of the most challenging roads; and 5 high altitude passes; passing through six different states or UTs (Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir).

Bus from Leh to Delhi

The bus from Leh to New Delhi starts at the Leh bus stop at 5 am. It is a normal HRTC bus, not luxury or luxury, but comfortable enough for a long journey. The total trip is 2 days and 2 nights. On the first day, the bus arrives in Keylong until late at night and stops there at night. On the second day, it starts early at 6:30 am from Keylong and arrives in Manali at noon. After a quick lunch break, he starts again from Manali around 2pm, works non-stop with a few breaks and arrives in Delhi the next day in the morning, around 4:30 am.

Bus reservation from Leh to Delhi

Passengers must purchase their ticket the day before and arrive at the bus stop at 4:30 am. This ticket can be purchased at the Leh Bus booth. An online booking system is available and you will have to go to the bus stop in person to purchase this ticket. In addition, it can only be purchased a day in advance and not before that.

Leh to Delhi Bus Fare

You will have to buy two tickets for this journey. The first ticket will be from Leh to Keylong and then from Keylong to Delhi. From Leh to Keylong it will cost around Rs. 500; and then another Rs. 850 for Keylong and Delhi; thus, a total of about Rs. 1300 to Leh to Delhi.

Keylong Accommodation

The bus arrives in Keylong around 6 pm to 7 pm. Accommodation here is not part of your ticket and passengers are required to make their own accommodation arrangements. However, you can easily reach a hotel near the bus stop for Rs. 600 – Rs. 800. There is also a unisex dormitory near the bus stop, where you can sleep for Rs. 100

Bus route from Leh to Delhi

This bus follows the Manali Leh road and then the NH1 to Delhi. You will travel from Leh to Karu, Upshi, Tanglang La, Pang, Lachulung La, Nakeela, Sarchu, Baralacha La, Jispa, Keylong, Rohtang La, Manali, Chandigarh and Delhi.

Bus schedules from Leh to New Delhi

This bus departs from the Leh Bus stand at 5 am and arrives in Keylong at 7 pm. From Keylong, it starts again at 6 am and arrives in Manali at 1 pm. After the lunch break, it starts in Manali at 2pm and arrives in Delhi at 4:30 am the next day.
