Overview

Goa-the party capital of India, is known for its New Year Eve parties, beaches and the susegad lifestyle.  It is also home to the spectacular Dudhsagar Waterfalls. Though people prefer to visit Goa during the winter months, trust us when we say, the best time to visit this beach town is during the monsoons. This is when Goa is more beautiful and spectacular than the rest of the year. And one of the many wonderful places in Goa worth visiting during the monsoon is one of the tallest waterfalls in India — Dudhsagar Falls.

The combo of two amazing waterfall treks is here. It is a scheduled weekend getaway.

The falls are perched high on the peaks of the Western Ghats on Sanguem Taluka and are indeed a ravishing spectacle to behold especially during monsoons when they are in full force and glory. It appears as if white streams of milk are falling down ferociously over cut rocks, invariably making big a splash. Therefore it is named Dudhsagar or the sea of milk in the local Konkani language.

The height of these falls is about 600 metres and is considered to be one of the tallest falls in the country. These falls are actually located on the Maharashtra-Karnataka border and are formed across the River Mandovi.

To reach Dudhsagar, you will have to take a train or walk to the place as the falls are located amidst a lush green valley set in a thick tropical forest, which of course looks more enticing in the monsoon.

So what are you waiting for? Plan your trip to Goa and experience the amazing Dudhsagar waterfalls. Have a great experience of all the waterfall treks in Goa with Fun and Adventure.
