Trip to Manali

The trip to Manali is through hidden over high passes in an arid. Largely treeless rain shadow so, Ladakh boasts of a classic Trans Himalayan scenery. Huge khaki-colored valleys and big rock walls brought alive due to the occasional splash of irrigated green. Traditional Tibetan Buddhist culture remains intact here because of beautiful monasteries that burst into life. During dance festivals that have changed little in over 500 years. Therefore, this contains everything an adventure lover wants. Epic treks, sparkling high-altitude mountain lakes, and a well-developed backpacker based around the capital, Leh.

Srinagar

Srinagar is the largest city and the summer capital of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus, and Dal and Anchar lakes.

Tso Moriri

Tso Moriri or Lake Moriri or “Mountain Lake”, is a lake in the Changthang Plateau in Ladakh in Northern India. The lake and surrounding area are protected by the Tso Moriri Wetland Conservation Reserve. The lake is at an altitude of 4,522 m. Ladakh is a land of high Passes, it has been described as moon land, magic land, and mysterious land for its landscape. It is the country’s coldest, highest and driest zone. Ladakh has a cool and generally dry mountain climate.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 0: Pick up from Delhi Upon arrival at Delhi airport/railway station, you will have to reach the Volvo pick up point at Majnu ka Tilla. Semi-sleeper Volvo pick up will be between 5:30-6:00 pm and you will have an overnight journey to Manali which is 537 km. Day 1: Arrival at Manali After your arrival at Manali, proceed to meet our team who will guide you to your hotel accommodation. Meet your tour captain and take your bikes out for a test ride. Also, explore the beautiful village of Naggar with Manali as your base camp and enjoy the mystical ?Ladakh landscape. Day 2: Manali to Keylong/Jispa Post a nutritious breakfast begin your adventure by heading towards Jispa. You will have to cross the mighty ?Rohtang pass ?and the immensely beautiful Keylong to reach your destination. Spend the rest of the day at your leisurely pace in Keylong admiring the majestic ?Ladakh skyline?. Day 3: Keylong/Jispa to Sarchu Post an early breakfast set out to Sarchu, a major halt point adorned with tents in the incredible ?Leh-Manali Highway?. Sarchu is situated between Baralacha La to the south and Lachulung La to the north, at an altitude of 4,290 m and 14500 ft above sea level. Day 4 : Sarchu to Tsomoriri Post breakfast, leave towards the Tso Moriri lake also called the “Mountain Lake”. The lake and surrounding area are protected by the TsoMoriri Wetland Conservation Reserve. The lake is at an altitude of 4,522 m. Spend the rest of your day basking in the exquisite sights of the ?Ladakhi lake?. Day 5: Tso Moriri to Pangong Lake Post early morning breakfast, attempt to catch the sunrise over the Tso Moriri lake to view the different shades of blue. Later set out towards Pangong lake, a beautiful lake surrounded by glaciers. Settle in your tents at the base of the lake and enjoy an authentic ?Ladakhi campfire ?experience that is sure to leave you in a state of euphoria. Day 6: Pangong Lake to Nubra Valley Post a scrumptious breakfast, leave towards Nubra valley from Pangong lake. Explore the valley of flowers in the gorgeous Shyok river basin and settle in your tents for a night among the flowers in your wonderful Ladakh trip?. Day 7: Nubra Valley - Leh Post a healthy breakfast begin your journey towards Leh, a high desert city in Jammu and Kashmir. Cross the majestic ?Khardung La pass ?on your way to Leh. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisurely pace after reaching Leh. Day 8: Leh Post breakfast set out to explore the ?mystical Leh?. Visit the famous magnetic hill, Sangam valley, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Shanti Stupa, and Leh Palace. ?After you’ve completely explored the wonderful Leh, return to your hotel and feast on a delicious dinner. Day 9: Leh to Kargil Have a wonderful breakfast before setting out to explore the historic Kargil. Kargil was the center of the dispute between India and Pakistan and eventually the site of a war between the two countries. The total distance that you will be covering on this day is roughly about 210 kilometres. Day 10: Kargil to Sonmarg Post breakfast set out towards Sonmarg, also called the path of gold. Ride through Drass, the coldest inhabited place in the world to reach your destination as you experience the immense ?Ladakhi thrill?. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisurely pace in Sonmarg. Day 11: Sonmarg to Srinagar and Departure Post a heavy breakfast set out for one final ride against the majestic Ladakhi landscape ?as you leave towards Srinagar. Explore Srinagar to the fullest before your departure time and leave towards your respective destinations with your bags packed with ?Ladakhi souvenirs?.

  • For Delhi Pick up, Please reach the meeting point 30 min ahead stipulated time as communicated. The bus will depart on time(schedule will be shared 2 days before trip start date).
  • Anyone missing the bus shall reach Manali by himself/ herself. No refund will be offered. The traveller is requested to adhere to the rules mentioned by the tour Manager. Any behaviour which causes delay, non-completion, or poses harm to fellow travellers, shall result in ad-hoc termination of the individuals’ tour without refund.
  • The decision taken by the management will be final and non-negotiable. Weekend Thrill and Its Partners do not assure to fit in everyone in the same hotels or tents. Hence, the group will have to be divided between hotels(depending on the situation)For Srinagar and Leh Pick up, We will arrange this pickup on our own in 3 slots if people are coming in batches before 12 PM. Anyone coming late will have to take their own transfer to the hotel from the airport.
  • Please minimize the luggage to a single Backpack of 10kg. Additional bags would have to be carried on the bike. We take care of the luggage as our own, you shall be The usual check-in time is 2 PM at hotels. Early check-in at the hotels is subjected to availability and price quoted by the hotel.
  • Tempo Traveler shall be provided if there are at least 8 travellers. SUV shall be provided if there are at least four Travellers. In case of lesser number, traveller(s) will have to join in Support Vehicle.
  • In case of lesser number, traveller(s) will have to join in alternative Vehicle. We would refund the traveller in full if you disagree to join the trip in that vehicle. However, most times we offer early check-in at no additional cost. The security deposit of INR 10,000/- shall be payable only in cash at the starting point, before the commencement of the trip.
  • The full amount will be forfeited in cancellations due to the natural disaster or political turmoil & no show to the starting point. No Refund shall be processed. Please confirm the departure and arrival date for Leh while booking flights. This is to ensure you are booking the right flights scheduled for your tour. Being a machine, the bikes are prone to break down on these terrains.
  • The mechanic requires due time as per the mechanical failure and may take a lot longer than you expected. In case of un-repairable breakdown of machine, rider(s) will be required to travel in service vehicle till Leh since necessary parts can be obtained only at Leh, Manali or Srinagar.
  • In case of normal wear and tear, i.e., Break shoe, clutch wire, Break wire, accelerator wire breakdown, shall not be charged. The customer shall be responsible and payable for any major damage due to accident & cost of components – clutch plate, Lights, Lamps or any structural deformation.
  • In case of extensive damage, the cost will be recovered fully from the customer on a cost basis. When it is unsafe to travel on a motorcycle (due to a natural calamity or political turmoil), Arrangements for four Wheelers will be made to the closest safe location, expenses payable by riders on the spot only.
  • There may be changes in the route and final programme due to any unforeseen circumstances. We will not entertain complaints of skipping destination if the decision improves the safety of the whole group. The purpose of the Backup vehicle is for Luggage, emergencies (accident/illness) and to carry support staff.
  • Any medical expenses arising due to transportation, admission, medicine or medical procedures/surgery, shall be borne by the customer or by a kin relative. Please refrain from putting requests for a seat in the Backup Vehicle unless extremely necessary due to scarcity constraint. You may require to adjust in case of multiple people with the illness.
  • The company holds the right to discounts and pricing policy. Weekend Thrill may discriminate in prices for a group or individual as per discretion. No queries or objection would be entertained. The package covers the cost of specified stays at the specified destination. When a rider decides to stay back, the cost of transportation of the bike to the end destination shall be deducted from the security deposit. And the cost of additional stay & transit shall be payable by the rider him/herself.
  • Weekend Thrill shall not be responsible to refund flight or post-ride travel plans loss resulted due to trip extension or cancellation.
  • You will NOT be entitled to claim any additional amount or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses or damage (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience, which may result from such cancellations (including but not limited to visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes)
  • We request riders to keep buffer days in hand. The management cannot control road conditions, weather, any natural, or political forces; hence reserves the right to take a call for trip extension or changing the route at his own discretion. Any additional cost of transportation/accommodation arising due to such extension shall be borne equally by the group & is payable on the spot.
