Matheran is most splendid hill station in Maharashtra; it covers an area of 8 square kilometers in Sahyadris. This lovely spot was discovered in 1850 by Hugh Poyntz Malet, the collector of Thane district. Garbett point is located on South-west side of Matheran with grand view of the plateau.

Rough Plan

Meeting Point: 23:15 @ Bhivpuri Road Station on the night

We will be starting with the Karjat fast Local (time-table given below)

Mumbai CST: 21:26 Byculla: 21:33 Dadar: 21:40 Kurla: 21:47 Ghatkopar: 21:51 Mulund: 22:03 Thane: 22:07 Dombivili: 22:20 Kalyan: 22:29 Ambernath: 22:39 Badlapur: 22:46 Bhivpuri: 23:10 People may board the same Karjat train from the station of their convenience and meet us in the train directly. (Get into second coach from CST side) (Missing the train means missing the trek, So one needs to be on time) From here we start our trek by 23:30 PM. Reach the Garbett plateau in next 3 -4hrs. Rest for some time. Early morning explore the Garbett plateau. Proceed to Garbett point and then to Dasturi point & Breakfast If time permits we will try to cover any nearest point in Matheran (Optional) (In such case if one wishes to enter Matheran he/she will have to pay entry fee. This fee will be separate and will have to be paid by the members.) After Exploration Take Taxi till Neral station. Reach Neral station till 12:00 noon. Start our return journey
