Scuba diving

This is the perfect program if you want to experience scuba diving in a controlled, safe environment. This is not a training course, but meant to give you a taste of diving of the azure waters of the Andaman Islands.

Trip Details

We leave early from our dive centre to a nice sheltered reef. You get a briefing on what to do and what to expect during the day; then you spend some time doing shallow water skills and getting comfortable with the gear. After that, we go for a dive. A dive professional is in the water with you at all times, and will handle your safety. We are back between 11:30 – 1, typically.

Maximum depth of this program is 12m – how deep we go will depend upon your comfort level in the water and the instructor’s discretion (we want you to have fun, but safety obviously comes first!). The dive duration depends on you, your air consumption and comfort level. The underwater experience lasts for 60 Minutes.

Your trip begins at a given allotted time (Depends upon the booking slot you get) from the dive shop where you gear up with all necessary scuba jackets, oxygen masks and other equipments required for Scuba Diving. You are taught various signs and basics about how to use the equipments under water. All necessary safety procedures are taught before the dive begins. We follow the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) general standards and recommendations. Trained professional divers assist you during the dive. The dive sites may vary at Havelock based upon conditions.
