How to reach Naggar ?

By Bus: Take a bus headed towards Manali from Delhi/Chandigarh and get down at Patlikuahal stop(20 km before Manali) and take a local bus/taxi to Naggar chowk/Chandrasekhar home stay. Volvo buses to Manali leaves between 5 pm to 9 pm from Delhi.

Pick up/Drop
Trekkers must report at Naggar before 10 am. Drop will be at Manali bridge/Government bus stand. POC details will be emailed prior to the event.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Reporting at Naggar.

Reporting at Naggar base camp before 10 am. Today we will go for an acclimatization walk to Naggar castle, Gauri shankar temple, Tripura sundari temple and Nicholas Roerich art gallery.

Day 2 : Trek to Rumsu camp.

After morning breakfast we will trek for Rumsu village. It takes around one hour to reach Rumsu via trek. Post lunch we will head for a short trek to nearby villages of Rumsu. Overnight stay in tents at Rumsu camp.

Day 3 : Snow trek to Sterling camp.

Sterling is a dark green meadow amidst dense Himalayan forest, with gentle snow slopes where participants can enjoy lot of snow activities. The trek to Sterling is a steep climb and takes around two to three hours to reach. Overnight stay in tents at Sterling camp.

Day 4 : Descend to Rumsu and drop to Manali.

Start the day after breakfast with descend to Rumsu village, which generally takes two hours and is easy. We will leave for Manali at 11 am. Participants can explore Manali for rest of the day, shop souvenirs. Board a bus for Delhi at 6 PM.

  • GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SNOW TREK IN MANALI:
  • Stay for male and female are separate throughout the program.
  • Medical certificate, duly signed by MBBS doctor, is mandatory for participating in all the events.
  • Participation in any of the Himalayan trekking program require a level of fitness. One who is participating in any of such events should do a minimum of two weeks of preparation.
  • Trekking shoes is compulsory.
  • Participants should check “Things to Carry list” which includes all personal clothing and other trekking accessories.
  • Smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited.
  • Buying drugs or any illegal material is strictly prohibited. Participant found in possession of any of such items, will be detained and handed over to government authority.
  • Instructions from Guide should be strictly followed.
