Gandikota on the right bank of the river Penna in Andhra Pradesh is known for its spectacular gorge formed by river Pennar that cuts through the Erramala hills. This handsome piece of Natures architecture has come to be known as the Grand Canyon of India by travelers who visit it and get bewitched by its beauty. Apart from the unmatched beauty of the gorge, the mystical charm of this fort makes a visit to this village all the more exciting for history lovers and adventure seekers.

Schedule:

Dec 31 (Tuesday):

Start from BLR around 7 AM, quick breakfast en-route
Enjoy the journey of 6 hours with group activities
Reach Gandikota campsite afternoon and have Lunch
Head out to the magnificent Fort, take a lot of selfies, explore the ruins
Evening time something really special: Witness The Amazing Sunset at the Grand Canyon of India – Gandikota while doing a lot of bouldering by waking up the monkey inside you. Shout out loud into the Pennar river valley to listen to your echo from different directions!
After the heavenly experience of sunset, head back to the campsite of tents pitched in the form of a circle and play a lot of games, socialize, revel in the warmth of the campfire, hot dinner & start The New Year 2020 Party..!!
Music & Dance under the open sky with a starry night in the cold weather, welcome the New Year with full of dreams!

Jan 1 (Wednesday):

Start the day with freshening up & breakfast.
Interested folks can even witness the sun-rise at the Gandikota gorges
Hike down the gorges to the Pennar river and indulge in some water activities – Swimming with life jackets, Coracle or Kayaking (one of these two)
Come back, have leisurely lunch, and start back to BLR. Reach home before midnight.
